My Exciting Pit Stop at Skudai R&R: Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Miss It!

As I cruised down the highway back from my weekend getaway in Genting Highlands, I knew I had to make quick toilet stop before heading into Singapore, and Skudai R&R in Johor was calling my name. The moment I pulled in, I realized this wasn’t your average rest area.

First off, the location is perfect—right along the KL to SG highway, making it an ideal spot to recharge. But what really caught my attention was the variety of food options . Whether you’re craving authentic Malaysian dishes or something more international, they’ve got it all. I grabbed a plate of Nasi Lemak and Mee Rebus that was simply to die for.

And here’s the kicker—Skudai R&R is eco-friendly! It’s designed with sustainability in mind, which made me feel good about stopping here. The facilities are super clean and modern with solar panels on all their petrol stations; trust me, you’ll appreciate this when you’re on the road. I found the restrooms spotless and the seating areas comfortable, perfect for a quick breather.

Finding parking was a breeze, even on a crowded weekend, thanks to the large carpark. I was also impressed by the EV Charging facilities here, with 9 DC Fast Chargers and even saw Tesla V4 Superchargers —making it a haven for EV drivers.

Before heading back on the road, I couldn’t resist checking out their convenience stores and got myself a few Magnum ice cream for the traffic jam later on. They had everything from snacks to essentials, making it incredibly convenient.

With its great visibility, clean toilets, and unmatched convenience, Skudai R&R is not just a rest area; it’s a destination in itself! If you’re traveling through Johor or heading back into Singapore, make sure to stop by—you won’t be disappointed! Of course, i topped up my petrol before entering Singapore.
